The Cannon and God’s Big Arrows!

I better release this word right now before God gives it to someone else!

On October 30^th, immediately before the election, the Lord gave me a vision.  In this vision, I saw Jesus toss some arrows into the back end of an old-timey, 1800’s-style cannon. They weren’t regular sized arrows. They were super-sized…more like the size of javelins, or spears. I couldn’t really tell if He was angry, disgusted, or just nonchalant by the way He tossed them in. Puzzled, I asked the Lord what it meant, but He gave me no answer. 

The very next day, during my prayer time, the Lord gave me a second vision. Jesus tossed these same super-sized arrows into the back of the same cannon; however, this time He slammed the back end of the cannon shut. Then He swung a baseball bat left-handed, hitting the knob on the back side of the cannon. The force of this impact shot the arrows out the business end of the cannon, causing them to spray all across the sky! They flew in every direction, arching to the sides as well as straight ahead.

Psalm 18:14

“He sent out His arrows, and scattered them,

And lightning flashes in abundance and routed them.”

I know that when God says something twice He REALLY means it, and we better pay attention! Yet, still not understanding, for weeks now I have been seeking the Lord for the meaning of these two back-to-back, cannon-and-arrows visions. Along with the unfolding of current events I believe He has revealed the answer – but it was not until He urged me to sit down and write this prophetic word this morning. The KEY is the 1800’s style cannon!

Let me explain! I believe the oversized arrows – javelins, or spears – are the works of God.  Anything that God does is going to be BIG! That is why the arrows are the size of spears! They are the BIG ARROWS of GOD, and they will hit their mark every time – BULLSEYE!

Look at this:

Psalm 144:6

“Flash forth lightning and scatter them;

Send out Your arrows and confuse them.”

I believe that God is moving to take back His country!

Jeremiah 51:11

“Sharpen the arrows, fill the quivers!

…Because His purpose is against Babylon to destroy it;

For it is the vengeance of the Lord, vengeance for His temple.”

Why would He do that? What would cause Him to want to destroy anything or anybody – to get vengeance? More specifically, what does God hate, and in fact is an ABOMINATION to Him?

Proverbs 6:16-19

“These six things the Lord hates, indeed, seven are an abomination to Him:

A proud look [the spirit that makes one overestimate himself and underestimate others], a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

A heart that manufactures wicked thoughts and plans, feet that are swift in running to evil,

A false witness who breathes out lies [even under oath], and he who sows discord among his brethren.”

My friends, we have hit the jackpot with this election coupled with what is happening in this nation! Every single thing that God ABHORS is simultaneously going on right now! Is it any wonder that He is moved to action?

The Key is the 1800’s cannon! The 1876 presidential election was so contentious and tumultuous that no president could be chosen. This is how it happened that “dueling electors” were born! Three states each sent two slates of electors to Congress, causing the showdown that I believe we will witness again real-time very soon! We are once again in a contentious and tumultuous presidential election. Although each of us has his/her own pick for the president, without God’s intervention we might never know who was rightfully chosen by Him! This is the one who is supposed to steward America into 2021.

BUT GOD! God is sending His arrows, scattering them across the skies of the United States of America! Even if the Supreme Court will not enter into the fracas, the God of the Universe is on the job! The entire world is watching this drama as it unfolds! God has center-stage! He will be vindicated! He is our justifier and our redeemer! He owns this nation – lock, stock and barrel! He will not allow any harm to come to it, because He is not through with it yet!

Don’t be afraid!

Psalm 91:5

“You will not be afraid of the terror by night,

Or of the arrow that flies by day…”

Don’t be afraid! God is in control! Didn’t He tell us that whatever could be shaken would be? Regardless of your political beliefs, no matter which side of this controversy that you find yourself on, BELIEVE IN GOD! Trust in GOD! He is cleaning up the mess that we the people have created.

He will protect His plans and His purposes in this land. We are safe in the palm of His hand. As a bonus, the church – His Ekklesia – is arising! We have come to the altar continually for weeks, crying out day and night in UNISON for God to move! He has heard us and answered!

Regardless of how this political upheaval is resolved, regardless of which side of the fence you are on, if you are in Christ Jesus, He is with you.

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”
