In worship recently the Lord showed me some dots moving in a circle. As I pressed in to view them, the dots changed into flags of different colors, continuously moving in a circle. The flags furled and unfurled simultaneously, never breaking formation, but circling around and around. As I viewed them, wondering what they symbolized, I heard the voice of the Lord say, “I am resurrecting unity!”
Next He showed me someone carrying two silver mylar balloons on a stick. I heard in my spirit that they looked like ordinary balloons but were actually balloons of blessings! These balloons were filled with the blessings of the fullness of God, being carried to us two at a time!
Then I saw a sandy seashore, and from the angle He showed me I could see a portion of a stone wall. Focusing in on the stone wall, I heard him say, “You are building bridges!” Although taken aback, since this was obviously a stone wall, I clearly heard God say, “What you are building is not what it looks like!”
Still in worship, He told me to get down on the floor and roll around. I thought about it for a minute, because frankly, I hadn’t rolled around on the floor since I was a child. I was not even sure I remembered how! Regardless, I did as I was told. I went to the back of the room, got down on the floor and rolled around. As I lay on my face afterward, He spoke, saying, “This may look like foolishness, but it is actually warfare!”
“For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18 AMPC).
Listen, brethren: The things of God look one way, but in fact are another! His Kingdom is upside down, where rolling around is warfare, stone walls are bridges, balloons are blessings and dots moving in a circle are resurrection power unity! Prayer may look like just words, and may even sound like just words, but in the spirit realm it is a weapon of mass destruction! When Jesus went to the cross, it looked like death, but was actually the most astounding and monumental event of all time – the gateway to eternal life!
This applies to all of our lives and ministries! As a personal example, Darryl and I are building a house in the forest, but it is so much more than just a house! God has named it “The Refuge”, and when it is complete it will be a place of hope and a bridge for those who will cross over it into the Kingdom! It is the first fruits of God’s plan – an entire subdivision, culminating in an Apostolic Hub that will train many and release them into the fields for the greatest harvest of all time! It may look like just a house, but it is so much more than that! God has a plan, and it is good.
What you are building is not what it looks like! What is happening in your life right now? What are you experiencing? I guarantee that it is not what it looks like! Have you got a wild child? Just as Jesus’ disciples had to wait three days to see the manifestation of His glorious resurrection, you may have to wait a little while to see the child who is running wild right now is actually walking out his testimony! Remember, what you are building is not what it looks like!
Does it look like trouble? It may look like failure but is in fact victory! It may look like you have been demoted but it is in fact a setup for promotion! God is not taking something from you – He is trying to get something TO YOU! It may look like a closed door, but in reality, the windows of heaven have been opened over you! Get ready, because God is pouring out such a blessing that you cannot possibly contain it all (see Malachai 3:10)! Hallelujah!
Do we look like ordinary people? Well, we are not! What God is building is not what it looks like! He is building us, His church, and we are HIS children (see 1 John 1:1, 2). We are overcomers (see 1 John 5:5), and more than conquerors (see Romans 8:37)! We are the head and NOT the tail, above and not beneath (see Deuteronomy 8:13)! If God builds, and it doesn’t look like what it looks like, the same is true for us, too. So relax! It’s all God, and it’s all good.
Remember this during a building season…You are building a kingdom here in the earth realm for the King of Kings! It will not be what it looks like! He is in control, no matter what it looks like. Be encouraged and have faith! It will look like God in the end.
Many multiplied blessings as you build!
